About Packhouse Coffee Company
Packhouse Coffee Company opened in July of 2017. This family owned and operated business started with the inspiration from Southern Oregon’s great little coffee stands with a splash of the southern vibe. With the support from Youngsville’s community, it worked out perfectly.
Karen Lindsay grew up in Franklin County while her husband, Ryan Lindsay, grew up in Southern Oregon. They connected through the Army, where they both served and deployed twice. They now have 3 kids and live in Youngsville, NC. Additionally, Karen’s sister and brother-in-law, Lindsay and Jeramy Wilson are managing partners and play a crucial part in Packhouse Coffee Company.
Why “Packhouse”?
The name Packhouse came from the family. The family grew up on an old tobacco farm that has a Packhouse, which used to be used to pack tobacco. Karen and Lindsay’s dad turned it into an area to hangout afterwards. The place is full of memories stapled to the walls; ticket stubs, pictures, jokes, memorable nic nacks from family trips, and so much more. The family’s story is depicted on the walls of that Packhouse. Naming the business after the famous family Packhouse was the natural decision.
